Thanks so much for joining me today! We are trying out five new Five Star Products from Nordstrom Beauty. Just like in the Sephora version of this, I looked at the Nordstrom Beauty website and picked five-star items that are new. It had to say new and be 5-star at the time of purchase.

One of the first things is the La Prairie Concealer and Foundation. I was trying to get a handle on what was actually new about this. It looks like it's newly reformulated, and it looks like there are new shades from what I could tell. If you know more, please let me know. I also picked up one of these Valentino products, a liquid blush that I think has new shades but is not necessarily a new product after I dug further. We've got some new eye shadow sticks by Trish McEvoy and a Sizzly Phyto Lip Balm that looked fascinating to me. Lastly, we have the Blurring Serum Blush from Anastasia Beverly Hills. Let's go ahead and get started and try to do a wear test as well.

Starting with La Prairie Concealer and Foundation

The foundation and concealer come in a lovely stand with a brush. I was excited about trying this product as I had been shade-matched in-store, but when I tried this shade on, it looked much lighter. I noticed it felt drying without proper skincare underneath, so I properly prepped my skin this time.

Upon application, the foundation seemed too light but with decent coverage resembling Cle de Peau. The concealer worked well on dark circles but seemed thick under the eyes. Overall, the foundation provided a skin-like glow but struggled with dry patches. I added bronzer to help blend everything together.

Testing Trish McEvoy Eye Shadow Sticks

These eye shadow sticks were surprisingly good. Despite my initial thoughts about the colors looking off, 'Shell' provided a nice base, and 'Bliss' added a subtle glow. However, this foundation didn't blend perfectly with these products either. After applying mascara, the eye makeup still looked natural and elegant.

Blurring Serum Blush by Anastasia Beverly Hills

The Blurring Serum Blush in 'Guava' promised a blurring effect for the skin. It applied nicely and felt dry almost like a powdered finish, although it did disrupt the concealer around my eyes. I tried another Valentino blush for comparison but found it less glowing and too subtle for my preference.

Sizzly Phyto Lip Balm and Final Thoughts

The Sizzly Phyto Lip Balm was a pleasant surprise, offering a slight color tint and much-needed hydration. After a full day, I noted that the foundation looked better over time but had issues with creasing and dry patches. The eye shadow sticks and blush faded somewhat, and the lip balm remained comfortable.
