Designing products can be tedious for some store owners, but the right tools can make the process easier. We've teamed up with Creative Fabrica to see how you can improve your print-on-demand design process and speed with Studio, Creative Fabrica's online tool that lets you create product designs using thousands of templates, images, backgrounds, and fonts.

Hey everyone, this is our second video with Jonty from Creative Fabrica. Last time, we talked about all the benefits for you as an e-commerce seller on the platform. But this time, we’re going to do a deep dive into Creative Fabrica Studio, an online tool that makes your design process easier and faster.

Meet Jonty from Creative Fabrica

Thanks for having me again. My name is Jonty, and I'm one of the designers and creatives in the creative team here at Creative Fabrica. I want to show you a bit more about Studio. It enables you to create designs from scratch, upload your own files, edit text, and even generate some of your own art using AI.

Exploring the Studio Landing Page

I'm here on the landing page, which you'll find if you search for Creative Fabrica Studio. There are three tools currently: the Studio, Vectorizer, and Transfer. Just a quick look at the homepage here—you'll see some recent projects that you’ve been working on and some popular templates from this week. There are hundreds of templates pre-loaded into Studio, covering different themes, designs, and assets for various purposes.

Creating a Simple Design

Let's start by creating a simple design. I'll hit “Create New Design,” and it gives me several options. Since we’re working with Printful and print-on-demand, you'll find some easy-to-use and convenient presets at the bottom. Let’s go for the unisex staple T-shirt.

Using Spark AI for Image Generation

Once inside the design window, I like to give my design a name. You can come to Spark AI over here to enter a simple prompt, and the AI art generator within Studio will give you some images. For example, let’s try "watercolor lemons with leaves." Spark will provide four options, and if you’re not a fan of any of them, you can use the regenerate option for new images. I don’t mind this one, so I’ll double-click it to add it to my image and scale it up.

A key feature of these Spark AI-generated images is that they are natively transparent PNGs, meaning there’s no need to remove white space. You can download them as transparent images, so they print onto any color without a white background or border.

Adding Text and Creating Patterns

You can add text to your image easily using the text field, change the font, and adjust the color using the color picker. You can even create patterns by selecting the image and using the repeat on background feature. It’s useful for posters, cushion covers, or all-over print products.

Removing Backgrounds with Spark AI

There’s also a background remover in Spark AI for already made images. To remove the background, open the Spark AI tab, and use the magic wand tool. Upload your image, and the AI will isolate the subject, making the background transparent. You can either download the result or place it directly on your canvas.

Transforming Uploaded Designs

You can upload any file format to Studio via the uploads tab. Simply upload your design files and add them to the canvas. Studio allows you to change the background, add text, and integrate elements from various sources. It’s a versatile tool for creating customized artwork.

Conclusion

Studio by Creative Fabrica offers variability and variety in design. By using only a couple of PGs, you can completely transform the look of your artwork and create something unique.
