    Use TikTok’s search bar to find highly searched topics related to your product. For example, I searched for “office chair” and found “office chair ergonomic” to be a popular term. Highlighting this in your video can capture people’s attention, especially if it relates to pricing. Then try other relevant terms; in my case, “gaming chair” and “gaming chair with footrest” were popular, which I incorporated into my video to target a broader audience.

    Step 4: Craft an Effective Hook

    A hook captures your audience’s attention within the first 3 seconds. This could be a spoken line, text, sound, or even a captivating visual. I usually prefer text hooks as they have proven to be very effective. My compilation of good hooks, available as a PDF, helps me use them consistently in my videos.

    Here’s the hook I used for the gaming chair:

    “My son is revising for PSLE and this happens... I thought you're revising your work. It's a bad idea to give him such a relaxing chair, maybe I should use it instead and give him back after PSLE.”

    Step 5: Add Relatable Sound

    Music enhances the emotional impact of your video. Since my video had a light-hearted, cheeky vibe, I selected music that complemented this mood. This drew viewers in and made the video more engaging.
