Howto & Style

Create a DOPE YOUTUBE INTRO in 3 Minutes (Photoshop and After Effects)

It's a beautiful day to be alive and welcome to my newest series where I'm going to teach you something design, photo, or video related in three minutes. Today, we're talking about how you can create an awesome intro for your YouTube channel in just three minutes. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to achieve this using Photoshop and After Effects.

To start off, you will need three main things: a Video Hive account, Photoshop, or a transparent version of your logo, and After Effects. Video Hive is a great resource for finding templates to enhance your videos quickly and efficiently. When looking for a template, try to find a short and catchy logo sting that catches the eye. Once you've purchased a suitable template, the next steps involve working with Photoshop to prepare your logo.

If you already have a PNG version of your logo, you can skip this step. Otherwise, open Photoshop and create or edit your logo with text if needed. Export the logo as a PNG file, ensuring the background is removed. With your logo ready, head over to After Effects to begin the integration.

In After Effects, import the file you downloaded from Video Hive, typically labeled "logo here." Then, import your logo PNG file into After Effects to overlay it onto the template. Make any necessary edits, such as adjusting text, before exporting the final intro. To render the intro, go to File, select Export, and add to the render queue. Choose the output location for the file, and you're done! You now have a super cool intro for your YouTube channel in just three minutes.

I hope you found this tutorial useful in creating an engaging intro for your YouTube channel. If you have any questions or would like to see more tutorials on different topics in under three minutes, feel free to leave a comment below.
