So, I decided to explore the world of generative AI to create my own professional photo right from the comfort of my home. In this tutorial, I'll show you how you can use Adobe's Photoshop beta with generative fill to transform a casual photo into a polished LinkedIn-worthy picture.

If you're unfamiliar with generative AI, it's a tool that allows you to edit images or videos by selecting specific areas to change and inputting what you want those changes to be. By leveraging this technology, I aimed to enhance my existing photo and make it suitable for professional platforms like LinkedIn.

To begin, select a photo that you like and find visually appealing. It should have that "wow" factor you'd want in a profile picture. Then, bring it into Photoshop beta, which features generative fill. You can access the beta version by going to Adobe Creative Cloud and downloading Photoshop beta from the beta apps section.

Once in Photoshop beta, crop the photo to a suitable square frame with your face positioned well. Use the object select tool to outline yourself in the photo. Adjust the selection as needed and use generative fill to change the background to a professional setting by typing in keywords like "interior of a building" or "bokeh."

Next, refine the look by selecting and changing your attire to something more professional using generative fill. You can also adjust settings like saturation, brightness, contrast, and apply color lookup for cohesive colors. Consider converting the image to black and white for a classic touch.
