Mac vs PC for Video Editing ?
Film & Animation
Introduction
My search for a new computer has narrowed down to two options, and I want to express my gratitude to everyone who provided me with spec lists for PC builds and reached out to me through DMs. Initially, I believed that the GPU had a significant impact on video editing, especially with Premiere Pro's GPU-accelerated feature. However, feedback I received highlighted the capabilities of Intel's 12th and 13th gen CPUs in handling 4K h26 video files. While I am tempted by the efficiency of the M2 Max studio for video editing, the lack of compatibility with essential PC utility software is a major hurdle. The thought of owning both systems crossed my mind, but budget constraints make it impractical for now. In addition, my proficiency in editing within the Mac ecosystem is still a work in progress. Stay tuned for updates on my PC build journey.
