Introduction
Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well. Every day, I tell myself that I will start recording my Vlogs at home, sharing my get-ready routine, dressing up, and makeup looks, but life always seems to get in the way. I'm often in a hurry and racing against the clock, leading me to rush out of the house without filming anything.
But this summer is not going to go to waste! I plan to make the most of it before the cold winter sets in. We're all dressed up and heading out to our church, which is celebrating its 4th anniversary with a barbecue party, complete with a bouncy castle and fun activities.
Today, I'm wearing denim on denim—a long denim top and trousers. Ordinarily, I would pair this with a bumbum short since it’s a longer top, but for church, I opted for a more modest look. The church also asked us to bring snacks or cultural food, so I teamed up with someone to prepare popular Nigerian snacks like meat pies and puff puff. Now it’s time to pick those up.
After picking up the snacks, we finally made it to the church's barbecue party! It was a fun event, but I've noticed a pattern—at every barbecue I go to, the chicken lacks spice, and I need my food to have that pepper kick. I always carry my seasoning to ensure I can enjoy the meals.
After the party, I stopped by Cross Iron Mall where I usually shop from three stores: Bath & Body Works for shower gel and scrubs, The Body Shop for skincare, and Sephora for makeup. I had quite a busy shopping day, but it was fun to share it with you all!
At Sephora, I decided to buy new foundation and powder, as my previous ones ran out. I was lucky to find shades that worked for me. I also picked up a couple of lip glosses and a mascara that I can't wait to try out!
Later, I rushed home, realizing that dinner needed to be made. My kids were hungry after our outing, despite having just returned from the barbecue. So I found myself back in the kitchen, cooking for my little ones.
As for personal news, my first son, Chinua, recently turned 10! His birthday celebration was low-key, with pizza at home since it was a school day. Then, my husband's birthday is just around the corner—this means I have been scrambling for gift ideas. I decided to buy him a nice perfume, which I hope he will love.
To wrap up the birthday bonanza, my birthday also falls shortly after my husband’s. We celebrated together with our children singing to us, and the kids even prepared cards for us. We also went on a special date to celebrate! September is quite a festive month for our family, with multiple birthdays to celebrate.
Now, I'm preparing for my mother’s birthday, which is also coming up. Since she lives in Nigeria, I’m unsure how to surprise her. If anyone has suggestions on what gifts would resonate well with her at her age, I would love to hear them!
Thank you all for following along with my little life updates. If you enjoyed this article, be sure to check back for more stories soon!
