FLIP TEXT USING TYPE ON A PATH TOOL ON A CIRCLE - ILLUSTRATOR TUTORIAL

Welcome to Robi Designs! This is Rabia, your favorite YouTuber. Today, I will be teaching you a simple yet effective technique to make text follow a circular path without it appearing upside down. This method will help you write both from the top and the bottom on a circle, making it much easier to read. Here’s how to do it.

Creating the Circle

1. Select the Circle Tool: Start by selecting the Circle Tool in Adobe Illustrator. Hold down the Shift key to create a perfect circle.
2. Adjust the Circle: While holding the Shift key, also hold the Spacebar to move the circle around to your desired position. Release the Spacebar to set the circle while you can still adjust the size by dragging.

Applying Text to the Path

1. Select Type on a Path Tool: Go to the Type Tool and select "Type on a Path Tool."
2. Click on the Circle: Click anywhere on the circle where you want the text to start. Start typing your desired text; it will follow along the path you clicked on.

Aligning and Managing Your Text

1. Three Bars: Your text will have three bars: the front, the end, and the start:
   • Front/End Bars: These have little white squares and help you manage the start and end points of your text.
   • Start Bar: This doesn't have a white square. Use this bar to flip your text.

Flipping Text

1. Duplicate and Flip: If you need to flip your text, duplicate the circle and text, and align it.
2. Move the Start Bar: Drag the start bar (the one without a white square) inside the circle to flip your text. This method ensures the text remains readable and aligned.

Overflow Text Management

• Text Overflow: If you see a small red dot at the end of your text, it indicates that there is more text than can fit. You can create another text box to manage the overflow.
