Force RTA by YG Creations
Hi guys, Todd here. Today we're diving into the Force RTA, the newest tank from YG Creations. If you remember, YG Creations previously released the Asylum RTA, a personal favorite of mine for this year. They achieved a remarkable job by integrating notable design cues from various top-performing RTAs. So, it's safe to say that my expectations are pretty high for this follow-up, the Force RTA. Let's delve in.
Unboxing Experience
The Force RTA comes in a similar box to its predecessor. When you open it, you find an array of components, including the tank itself, two chambers, a spare glass tank, and a spare PEEK 510 drip tip. VAP Store in France and Vapor Bay UK will be carrying this unit. It’s priced at around €175, which is notably higher than the Asylum RTA, a point that surprised me.
Specifications
- Diameter: 22 mm
- Height: 35 mm
- Material: 316L Stainless Steel
- Capacity: 4 ml
Design and Build Quality
It's hard not to admire the overall appearance of the Force RTA. It features a recessed area near the 510 connection and the top, almost mirror images of each other, giving it a symmetrical and refined look. The YG Creations logo and the 'Force' engraving are neatly done. Additionally, there's no wobble in the PEEK drip tip, addressing one issue found in the Asylum RTA.
Airflow and Pins
The Force RTA is bottom-filled and comes with an array of adjustable airflow pins. These pins allow you to customize the airflow to your liking. Whether you prefer mouth-to-lung (MTL) or restricted direct lung (RDL), this tank has you covered with different pin setups. You even get blank pins for a more tailored performance, especially beneficial for MTL enthusiasts.
Chamber and Build Deck
You get two chambers with this tank: one for MTL and another for RDL. The RDL chamber comes pre-installed and has wider, longer wicking tubes compared to the MTL ones. The build deck is a four-post design. However, it isn't without its challenges.
Building and Wicking
Installing coils can get tricky, especially with larger gauge wires. It’s advisable to use coils wrapped in a certain direction to avoid issues with the screws spitting out wires. Thinner gauge wires are more easily managed. The cotton needs to be thinned out and feathered to ensure that juice wicking is optimal.
Vaping Experience
Using a 0.4-ohm coil in the RDL setup, I found vaping at around 25-30 watts to be ideal. It has no issues keeping up with heavy VG juices, providing a very enjoyable vaping experience. On the MTL front, it performs equally well with tight draws and decent throat hits achievable through further customization.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Force RTA is impressive with excellent flavor, sleek design, and robust build quality. However, the post screws could have been better designed to handle thicker wires, and the price point is higher than expected. Yet with proper wicking and coil placement, it becomes a fantastic tank.
Pros:
- Excellent flavor on both MTL and RDL setups
- Sleek and refined design
- Adjustable airflow with multiple pin options
Cons:
- High price point
- Possible issues with coil installation, especially thicker wires
- Build chambers held by O-rings, which might loosen over time
That's pretty much everything about the Force RTA. If you have more questions or need further clarifications, feel free to comment below the video.
Thank you for watching, and a big thank you to YG Creations for sending this on for review.
Until next time, bye for now.
