Introduction

Hi guys! Today, I'm introducing you to a new fragrance house called Frederico Parfums. They have five fragrances that have just launched or are making their way out, although one of the fragrances, Blooming Amber, launched a year or so ago.

Introduction to Frederico Parfums

The collection consists of five fragrances, all created by Justin Frederico. I first got to know him as a perfumer reviewing fragrances for Perfumology, an indie artisanal niche fragrance store in Philadelphia which has its own line of fragrances. Today, we’ll dive into these five unique creations from Frederico Parfums.

Presentation and Pricing

The presentation of Frederico Parfums is quite exquisite. The boxes are elegant with the logo prominently displayed. On the back, you'll find the notes breakdown. Each fragrance comes in a 50ml bottle priced at $ 185, and they are all of parfum concentration, offering a potent and long-lasting experience.

Blooming Amber

Blooming Amber is an Amber Floral fragrance featuring notes of Amber, honey, lily of the valley, musk, cashmere, jasmine, vanilla, orange, neroli, patchouli, mandarin, green moss, and lavender. It’s a balanced blend of warm notes and floral touches, making it an intense and luxurious scent with impressive longevity.

Lemon Basil Fizz

Lemon Basil Fizz stands out with its playful and effervescent character. It’s a fizzy, soda-like fragrance with notes of lemongrass, bright ginger, charming basil, green moss, warm lavender, nutmeg, bay leaf, red cedarwood, and siaol. This fun and refreshing fragrance is perfect for summertime wear and has a unique, sparkling quality reminiscent of high-end fizzy drinks.

Param and Solle

Param and Solle is the most complex fragrance in the collection, featuring a wide range of notes including sandalwood, Ambertoid, beeswax, Ambreine, ambergris, Virginia cedar, orange, Italian moss, myrrh, clove leaves, cumin, ginger, coriander, aldehydes, vetiver, Haiti lavender, basil, white thyme, bergamot, mandarin, citronella, and Java lemongrass. It’s a modern, woody Amber fragrance with a creative twist provided by the cumin note, offering a surprisingly intense experience.

Posh Affair

Posh Affair is the most vintage-smelling fragrance in the collection. It has notes of ambrarome, patchouli, labdanum, orris, galbanum, oakmoss, vetiver, Salon, cinnamon, guaiac wood, jasmine, peach nectar, rose, aldehydes, and bergamot. This dry, powdery, and Woody fragrance strongly resembles Guerlain’s Mitsouko, thanks to its peach nectar and ambery touches.

Silk and Skin

Silk and Skin is the most daring fragrance, featuring leather, plums, passion fruit, patchouli, oakmoss, jasmine, vetiver, lily of the valley, oud, benzoin, musks, and cedarwood. It offers a unique, rubbery leathery experience with a slightly naughty, S&M vibe. The leather smells fresh, almost like pleather, making it a standout scent in the collection.

I rank Blooming Amber as my top favorite followed closely by Silk and Skin for its unique leather note. Param and Solle, although complex, rank third. Lemon Basil Fizz is fun and playful but slightly casual compared to the others, and Posh Affair, with its vintage vibe, ranks last due to my personal preference for more syrupy scents.
