Unfortunately, I struggled to find tough, a vital resource for my build, leading me to scour the shopping district. The once-bustling area now boasts impressive shops but has become hard to navigate. After a search, I finally found a sizable tough vein in the mines that made gathering resources relatively quick.

Building the New Iron Shop

With all my resources gathered, I eagerly got to work on constructing my new shop. The design features exposed machinery and a beautiful block palette, aiming to bring the mine's vibe to life. This build also includes clever user experience features, such as elevators that transport shoppers to and from the shop.

However, as I progressed, the unoxidized copper I used sparked annoyance, as I had to be patient for it to age naturally. Hours went by, and some parts remained shiny and new.

To enhance the build further, I integrated sound effects from note blocks, complementing the mine’s lively atmosphere. Once I was pleased with the sounds and interiors, it was time to complete the shop’s exterior and surrounding area.

Final Touches and Opening

The transformation was remarkable! Adding details like packed mud gave the area more life, drawing attention to how the build fit comfortably within its environment. Finally, after overcoming hurdles, I proudly opened the new iron shop, receiving compliments from fellow Hermits like Grian.

An Exciting Conclusion

Reflecting on the journey to create this shop, I realized I had been focusing deeply on smaller side projects, but I’m also aware of the impending deadlines I set for myself. There’s still a lot of building to be done in the coming weeks, and I genuinely can’t wait to continue this wonderful adventure in Hermitcraft!
