How to Export Videos from Opus Clip to Premiere Pro

Introduction

Hey everyone, Rebecca here! We have some exciting news. We just launched exporting to XML, and today I'm going to show you how to use it by exporting a short video to Adobe Premiere Pro. Exporting to XML allows professional creators to perform more sophisticated editing on short videos. Using this feature is very straightforward.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Locate the Video

    • Find the short video you want to export in your result page.
    • Click the "Export to Premiere Pro" button to download the file.
  2. Exported File Components

    • The exported file includes three components:
      • The original raw video
      • An XML file with the generated short video
      • An SRT file with captions and timestamps
  3. Importing to Adobe Premiere Pro

    • Import the XML file into Adobe Premiere Pro.
    • The short video can be easily adjusted. For example, you can trim or extend clips since a 10-second buffer is added on either side of the clip.
    • For short videos with multi-person layouts, each video layer is separated onto its own track for easier editing. You can adjust the framing of a specific track to enhance its appearance.
    • Import the SRT file to adjust caption timestamps or add your unique caption styles. Note that caption animations created by Opus Clip are not included in the SRT file at the moment.

Additional Notes

  • Currently, we're unable to download the Bros with raw clip video. Therefore, if your short video has Bros in it, it will not appear in the exported file.
  • We do not support exporting short videos from your history projects at the moment.

Give it a try and let us know what you think. We’d love to hear any suggestions from you!
