Sundays are one of my favorite days of the week because it's time to dive into all the exciting new makeup releases, share some gossip, and maybe even spill some tea. Today, we're discussing everything from new brands launching at Ulta, intriguing perfume additions at Sephora, the week's latest setting powders, and if mystery boxes are genuinely worth your money. Plus, I found myself in a bit of drama. So, let's get started!
First up, Australian-based brand Naked Sundays is now available at Ulta Beauty just in time for summer. Known for their high-performance skincare-meets-sunscreen products, they're launching a few bestsellers and new shades of their viral Cabana Go Glow drops. If you love dupe products, this brand should be on your radar.
Ulta is expanding rapidly with new brands, and their excellent loyalty program makes them an attractive shopping destination over Sephora. However, their mobile app could use some work.
Made By Mitchell has launched a new nude lipstick collection called Mattitude. These creamy matte lipsticks promise rich color and all-day wear without compromising hydration. At $ 16 each, they seem like a good deal, though I recommend purchasing through Beauty Bay due to issues with Mitchell’s customer service.
Ariana Grande’s perfumes, including the popular Cloud scent, are officially coming to Sephora. This smart move is expected to generate great sales for Sephora, which usually isn’t as aggressive as Ulta in acquiring new brands.
Bath & Body Works has teamed up with Stranger Things to launch four new candles. While I loved Hopper’s Coffee, the other scents didn’t impress me as much. If you’re a fan of Stranger Things, this limited edition collection might be for you.
Natasha Denona has launched a new mini palette inspired by rosy hues. Priced at $ 27, I'm skipping this one due to previous disappointments with their mini palettes. However, if you love their formula and cool tones, this might be worth checking out.
LYS Beauty has introduced a new translucent loose setting powder that promises to control oil and provide a weightless finish. As a fan of LYS products, I’m excited to test this one out, especially since they claim it’s good for oily skin.
Hermes Beauty has launched their fall/winter nail polish collection. Despite being an expensive luxury brand, I found the color choices bland and not representative of fall.
YSL Beauty is adding a new fragrance called Libre Flowers and Flames, a warm, sun-kissed floral scent. I'll be heading to Sephora to test this one out because I love YSL fragrances.
ColourPop has expanded their Wings Club collection with new multi-chrome shadow sticks, a highlighter, and more. While I was not familiar with Wings Club initially, the collection is available now if you’re a fan.
Real Techniques has introduced a new blending sponge designed to mimic your fingers. This unique concept might be worth a try, though I’m skeptical about its practicality and feel.
SheGlam has launched their Pout Perfect Shimmer Lip Plumper. Although I don’t support the brand, it might interest others who do.
GlamLite has released their Bake and Set powders available in multiple shades. Although they initially launched on TikTok, they are now available on other platforms. These powders claim to be great for oily skin, so I’ll be giving them a try.
Unearthly Cosmetics launched their Night Terror Mystery Box, which includes a mini Halloween-themed collection. Priced at $ 66, it features a nine-pan palette, a liquid highlighter, and a lip gloss. I’ve already ordered mine and can’t wait to review it.
Charlotte Tilbury has launched a new mystery box, offering six beauty products at 50% off. Despite liking past boxes, I’m undecided about this one and would love to hear your thoughts.
Finally, Enly Rain has launched their Flutter and Flourish collection featuring blushes, lip glosses, and chromatic shadows. However, they faced criticism for allegedly using AI in their packaging design. I found myself defending the brand, as transitioning to using graphic artists takes time. Interestingly, they sent me the collection, so look out for my full review soon.
