Introduction

Step 2: Making the First Video

I pitched the idea to him, and he agreed. We recorded the content the next day at my place. After editing, we published our first video a week later, hopeful it would go viral. Reality hit when we only got 12 views, most from Reddit promotion. Despite this, we didn’t give up. We churned out two more videos. By the third video, which was a slight twist on an existing viral idea, we started getting traction—about 20 views.

The Big Break

The next two videos were flops, but the one after that changed everything. We made a game about a popular YouTuber, and it took off—10, 20, 70,000 views, eventually reaching 100,000 views. It only took us three months to get monetized, earning our first $ 7. This was faster than we ever expected, proving the importance of video quality.

The Breaking Point

Following our viral success, we hit a dry spell. Despite putting in the same effort, the next few videos didn’t perform well. We went from making $ 7 a day to almost nothing, facing what I call the breaking point. If we had given up then, we wouldn’t be where we are today.

Current Status

Now, the channel stats show a crash in views after the initial spike. From June to September, we struggled. However, an old video picked up traction, reaching around 500k views. We got a peak of 35,000 views in one day, which felt like a small city watching our content daily.

We have made around $ 1.5k so far, and after splitting with my friend, we both achieved the $ 100 goal, enough to buy two flip phones. The best revenue day was $ 61, modest but satisfying.

Future Plans
