Is there a Secret Sauce to Going Viral? ?

Your first piece of content could literally reach millions of people if it resonates with the audience. I have a considerable following and some of my work just connects. Sometimes, I'll get 50,000 likes, other times just a fraction of that.

People are always looking for a secret formula, and it seems like there isn't one. But, interestingly, there is a strategy behind it. That's the main reason I wrote this book. It's like golf. I think of social media as I think of golf. I'm not sure how many humans on Earth have been more committed than I have over the last 15 years to figure this thing out. And yet, every day, I miss on things I would have thought I would have hit on. It's humbling, which is amazing—a great way to play a game.

Social media is a great analogy to golf. You're playing against yourself, it’s a tough game. You think you've got it mastered when you hit an amazing shot down the Fairway, but then you end up in the rough. I view myself like a top golfer in the world who didn't make the cut at the Masters because I had a bad weekend.
