Hello, hello, hello, my friends and welcome back to Hermitcraft! Today, we are embarking on a monumental build – the biggest project of the season so far. After gathering resources for two whole days, we are finally ready to construct something amazing up in the sky. But before we dive into today's build, there's a lot to catch up on. Let's get into it!
First up, we have the Sheepinator 9000. We constructed this wool farm during a live stream because today's project requires an immense amount of wool. Originally estimated at 6,000 wool blocks, we settled at around 3,000 due to some block changes. This farm is designed to produce cyan wool efficiently, with an automatic shearing system and fairly optimal grass regrowth.
To support today's build, extensive resource gathering was necessary. We needed two Shulker boxes of cyan wool and warp stems. The shroom light farm played a crucial role in gathering warp stems. Additionally, I built a bone meal farm to ensure a consistent supply for our shroom light farm, ensuring that we had thousands of necessary resources.
Previously, we built a mushroom-shaped shop named Fun Gus, with puns included for every visit. Following some thoughtful community contributions, we added a redstone mechanism that dispenses pun books every few minutes when the barrel is opened. This mechanism ensures that visitors get a pun with each visit while preventing rapid spam.
The main event today is constructing a colossal steampunk airship around our copper farm. After approximately 20 hours of building, we present our masterpiece. Let's tour our airship and highlight the key features:
In addition to our grand build, I joined Zedaph, Impulse, and Skizz for a game of Creeper Spleef at Zedaph's base. Using pickaxes, we aim to spleef creepers through the floor while avoiding getting blown up. The gameplay was chaotic, thrilling, and a hilarious end to our episode.
And there you have it, friends – a successful day of crafting and fun. I hope you enjoyed the tour of our new steampunk airship. Your feedback is always appreciated. Stay tuned for our next big project: building the base. Exciting times ahead!
Q1: How did you gather all the resources for the airship build? A1: Extensive resource gathering was accomplished over two days. We built a wool farm (Sheepinator 9000) for cyan wool, utilized a shroom light farm for warp stems, and constructed a bone meal farm to maintain continuous supply.
Q2: What inspired the design of the Steampunk Airship? A2: The design was inspired by traditional pirate ships and steampunk aesthetics. We used complementary colors and integrated gears, propellers, and engines to enhance the steampunk feel.
Q3: What is the function of the Fun Gus shop? A3: The Fun Gus shop offers sales with a humorous twist. Each visit (not just purchase) dispenses a pun book via a redstone mechanism, providing a fun experience for visitors.
Q4: How does the Creeper Spleef game work? A4: In Creeper Spleef, players use pickaxes to mine the floor to spleef creepers. The last person standing wins, and the game tests both luck and strategy.
Q5: What are the future plans for the interior of the airship? A5: Future plans include detailing the Captain's Quarters, creating a passenger area, and developing an engine room with control panels. There will also be optimization of current open spaces.
