THESE JUST GOT CANCELLED! THE ORDINARY DISCONTINUED 4 MORE PRODUCTS | STOCK UP BEFORE THEY ARE GONE!
Howto & Style
Introduction
Good morning, everyone! In an important update from The Ordinary, the beloved skincare brand is discontinuing four more of their skincare products. For those who haven't heard yet, this news might come as a surprise, but it also provides an opportunity for fans to stock up on their favorites before they vanish for good.
On The Ordinary's website, there's a tab called "Fawn Farewell" where they list all products slated for discontinuation. This section can offer a second chance to buy these products before they disappear forever. Availability depends on your location; some products might already be out of stock in certain regions. If they're unavailable online, you might find them at a nearby DECIEM store.
In Canada, for instance, some products already show as "Email me when in stock," signaling they're essentially sold out. Nonetheless, I'm sharing the details of these four products today, including links, discount codes, and related videos to help you stock up if needed. Please subscribe and hit the notification bell to stay updated, and don't forget to give this a thumbs up—it truly supports my channel.
Products Being Discontinued
Besides these four, other products will also be discontinued, as discussed in a video I uploaded back in January. The products I'll talk about today are ones I've used and am familiar with, although they're not my top favorites. Let's dive in:
1. 100% Niacinamide Powder
This product involves creating a custom mix with a serum, like being a mini chemist. Launched four or five years ago, it allows high-strength niacinamide but with a larger margin of error. The powder must be mixed correctly with a gentle hydrating serum to avoid a gritty, powdery finish. Many, like myself, found it confusing and time-consuming. However, if you love niacinamide and enjoy making fresh batches, this might still appeal to you.
2. High-Adherence Silicone Primer
This primer aims at giving a blurred, smooth base for makeup. My experience six years ago was one of inconsistency, as it often pilled with skincare products and certain makeup formulations. It provided good results only without prior skincare application, which doesn't suit those committed to a skincare routine.
3. High-Spreadability Fluid Primer
This is another primer but with a lighter, hydrating serum texture that doesn't pill. Still, it contains silicones and aims to smooth and help makeup longevity. Though I preferred this over the High-Adherence Silicone Primer, your preference might differ based on texture and consistency requirements.
4. Ethylated Ascorbic Acid 15% Solution
A vitamin C serum with a water-free, anhydrous formula that can feel heavy and might layer inconsistently. While beneficial for brightening and addressing aging signs, I always preferred the now-discontinued Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%, which combined brightening agents with a better texture.
Availability and Buying Tips
Check the "Fawn Farewell" tab on The Ordinary's website or local stores if online stocks are depleted. Be cautious with third-party sellers on platforms like Amazon, as DECIEM does not authorize their products' sales there, raising concerns about authenticity and quality.
Thank you all for watching and reading! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask in the comments. See you in the next video!
