Thumbnail Designs: AI limitations and secrets for creating captivating visuals

As many of you might have noticed, I've recently been incorporating AI to create some elements of my thumbnail designs. This includes the background images and blog image thumbnails. In this article, I want to dive into the limitations of using AI for this purpose and share a neat trick I learned to overcome one specific limitation. Let's get started!

Limitation #1: Readable Text

One of the first limitations you'll encounter when using AI tools like MidJourney is that creating readable text is currently not possible. The AI tends to generate a kind of lorem ipsum style of jumbled characters which doesn't make any sense. This is important to keep in mind if you're relying on AI for text elements in your thumbnails.

Limitation #2: Replicating Exact Persons

Another limitation is that AI cannot replicate an exact person. If you're looking to have a specific individual in your thumbnails, the AI might get the general idea but it will not be an exact match. However, there is a trick I learned from Matt Wolf that can help you work around this limitation. We'll get into that trick later in the article.

Lastly, AI platforms generally have strict community guidelines, which means you cannot create anything that includes gore, violence, or sexual content. This is critical to remember to avoid getting your account banned.
