Trader Joe's Rainbow's End Trail Mix Bars Review

We've had some fantastic experiences with Trader Joe's products this month, with only one or two items falling short of either good or great. Occasionally, I feel a bit odd continually giving positive scores to everything, which makes me want to find a product ripe for a negative review just to mix things up. When I spotted the rainbow-themed granola bars, I thought to myself, "How good could they possibly be?" I deliberately yanked this product from the pantry, ready to slam it and prove to our audience that we're super objective and not affiliated with Trader Joe's. But dang it, if these aren't some of the most delicious granola bars I've tried!

They're quite similar to Kind bars but taste even better. These bars are adorned with little generic M&M-like candies that make them visually appealing and tasty. Probably, they're not as healthy as Kind bars, but hey, you only live once!

From our product picture, you can tell some of the M&M candies are smashed up on the outside of the bars. Personally, I like them that way. It seems the chocolate is more evenly distributed, making the bars easier to chew. There's a rich nut flavor from the peanuts and almonds, all held together by agave syrup and a thin layer of dark chocolate. While milk chocolate could've worked just as fine, if not better, the dark chocolate layer earns a "daddy likey" from me.

You can purchase these bars individually for $ 0.99 each, or buy a box of five for $ 4.99. Although it'd be nice if they offered a small discount for buying in bulk, it's still a decent deal overall. Plus, these bars are kosher and something we'd definitely buy again. Apparently, Trader Joe's also sells a non-bar form of this mix in a bag format. The "rainbow" seems to be a fun nod to the mythical bridge connecting the human world to Asgard, home of the Norse gods.

So, buckle up for Ragnarok, kids! Sonia and I give Trader Joe's Rainbow’s End Trail Mix Bars an 8 out of 10 stars. They're really darn good. Whatever you do, don't hit the like button on this video—I really hate it when people hit that like button!
