When you click on one of these suggestions, the second Chrome extension provides an overall keyword niche score. Ideally, you want this niche score to be above 50. If you find one above 60, you have an excellent starting point. After some searching, I found "Bold Art Coloring Book Large Print Designs" with a score of 55, which is the best I found, so I decided to proceed with this.

To verify, scroll through the top suggestions and ensure there's a relatively new publication from an independent publisher that ranks well for this term. For example, I found a new publication dated February 17th, 2023. This confirms the niche is viable.

Step 2: Generating Coloring Pages with MidJourney

Now that we've selected a good niche and have a solid idea, we can move on to generating our unique coloring pages using MidJourney AI. If you're not familiar with MidJourney, check the link in the description to get started. A quick disclaimer: you'll need to purchase one of the subscription plans to sell these images commercially.

Once you're in MidJourney, set some preset preferences for your prompts to enhance your workflow speed. Enter forward slash and find the prefer options set. Name the set of commands (e.g., "crisp") and set the option value with prompts like "coloring pages, crisp lines, mandala, white background" and a negative prompt like "no shading." This setup means you don't need to type in all these parameters each time.

Refer to the information gathered from the Amazon listing to create a variety of images. For example, use keywords like "bird" then your command (e.g., "D - crisp"). Repeat until you have at least 24 coloring pages, which is the minimum needed to publish on Amazon KDP.
