Our goal for this episode is to show you how to redesign your rooms using AI, albeit with a twist—it's a podcast idea in the making! We're not done with our creative studio, but hey, when have we ever waited for things to be perfect?

Today’s episode is packed, and you’ll love every bit of it as we dive into the wonderful world of AI for interior design. Using the photos you submitted, we've experimented with three different AI tools. Let's take a look at our adventures in redesigning your spaces using AI technology.

The Evolution of Our Studio

We're still setting up the studio, ensuring every detail is perfect, from the window wall to the astrological sketches for a custom Toile pattern. This pattern will be used for wallpaper and bedding and features intricate, identifying elements for each astrological sign.

While sketching, we ran into a problem: the studio wasn't quite ready. We had to move some furniture, which turned out to be a big challenge. Lesson learned: always think ahead before making big changes.

Launching the Mr. Kate Podcast

We’re excited to announce we’re launching a podcast! We want to include various segments and have some of our friends as guests. The podcast is not just about interior design; it will also feature life updates, DIY tips, and much more.

We received countless DMs with your room photos, and we decided to use three AI tools to help give your spaces a fresh look:

Case 1: Rents van di Keith's Bedroom

Style: Mix of Japan D and vintage eclectic
Room GPT: Created a design but covered the window with a giant canvas.
Visualize AI: Created a better design, including a small toddler bed.
Spacely AI: Removed the window for some reason but gave multiple options.

Our advice: Combine elements from different AI-generated designs but don’t forget practical considerations like furniture placement and natural light.

Case 2: Gabby's Living Room

Style: Boho/Classical
Visualize AI: Chose a Scandinavian design. Inserted a ceiling Medallion and added texture to the walls.
Spacely AI: Created a completely new look, wallpapering the entire room, and adding asymmetrical hanging lanterns.

Our advice: Stick to one wall for wallpaper, keep the rest white, and add plants and asymmetrical hanging lanterns for additional flair.

Case 3: Viewer’s Kitchen

Room GPT (via Moon's prompt): Made the kitchen colorful but impractical.
Visualize AI: Created a sleek, Art Nouveau-inspired design, although it was not renter-friendly.
Spacely AI: Added blue tones and brass but was overly luxurious.

Our advice: Update cabinet doors with peel-and-stick wallpaper and new knobs. Add a rug for quick updates and a pendant light fixture.
