Generate from a prompt with no image, or edit with up to 8 references. Regional edit is a switch on an edit. It needs at least one image and redraws only the area that should change.

Do the other pixels stay?

On regional edit, Krea's API says everything else stays exactly as it was, so you can edit the same image again. That does not apply when regional edit is off.

When should regional edit stay off?

Leave it off for a restyle, a relight, a change of season or time of day, a reframe, or a new scene built from several images. Those requests re-render the whole image.

How many reference images?

The official API accepts up to 8. With five or more, each reference is resized to at most 1,536px on its longest side.

What does the official API cost?

$0.03 per 1K image and $0.06 per 2K image, before references. Each 1K reference adds $0.02. Each 2K reference adds $0.07. High adds $0.02 per generation. A 2K image with two 2K references and High is $0.22. This page does not print other providers' rates as the Krea price.

Are edits under 8 seconds?

Krea says most 2K edits return in under 8 seconds. That figure is Krea's own measurement of edit jobs on Krea from 24 September to 1 October 2026, queue included. It is not a Topview measurement.

Can I download the weights or use a LoRA?

This page does not claim downloadable weights. Krea's API currently returns that LoRAs and style references are coming soon. They are not available on the API.

One image per call. Omit resolution and the output is 1K. There is no 4K tier. Custom sizes snap to the nearest ratio on a 1K or 2K canvas. The same seed is not guaranteed, because prompt expansion can vary.

Step 1: Add the image

Upload a source image, or start from a prompt with no image. An edit needs at least one image. Regional edit needs one too.

Step 2: Name one change

Say what should change and what should stay. Turn regional edit on when only one area should move.

Step 3: Download

The call returns a job id. Poll for the image or wait for the webhook. Krea says most 2K edits return in under 8 seconds. That timing is Krea's own measurement.
